The PHCC Academy of San Diego’s Entry-Level HVAC Service Tech Certificate Program is a seven-month program designed for students with no or minimal years of experience in the industry. The program fosters a solid foundation and understanding of the latest tools, equipment, and technologies. Students become proficient and confident to perform residential and light commercial maintenances and basic troubleshooting. The program provides superior in-depth, hands-on training with a variety of equipment used in today’s complex heating and air conditioning systems. At the conclusion of this program, students are prepared to take and earn the EPA 608 Exam.
Covered Course Topics Include:
*Some classes may require pre-scheduled Saturday curricular activities. Students will be notified of these Saturday classes at least 30 days in advance.
Tuition can be paid in full for a 10% discount, in (2) semester installments for a 5% discount, or in monthly installments.**

Description: Heating and Cooling Essentials is the ideal introductory text for students entering the HVACR field, providing well-illustrated and simple explanations of complex HVACR topics. The text emphasizes the techniques needed to perform the installation, service, and repair of refrigeration, air conditioning, and heating systems. Students build an understanding of how the many photos and diagrams enhance learning for those new to the study of HVACR. Strong Tips, and review questions aid learning and retention. New careers and soft skill information prepare students for the workplace skills needed to be successful in HVACR careers. In addition to showing students how to excel in the workplace, Heating and Cooling Essentials helps them get the most out of an HVACR education.
